Dez Bryant makes "uncatchable catches catchable"
Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on February 5, 2010 4:55 PM ET We've heard about Oklahoma State wideout Dez Bryant for a while now. And with the NFL Scouting Combine coming up, we're going to hear a lot more. Bryant says he's going to live up to the hype. "I'm very similar to Larry Fitzgerald in some ways, as far as catching the ball, tracking the ball, making uncatchable catches catchable," Bryant said Friday. The kid certainly passes the eye test. He looks like the prototype number one receiver. The PFT video crew of Matt Casey and Rob Hahn, who have done awesome work all week, caught up with Bryant Friday. Quote:

Like i've said so many times we could easily draft this guy, and it wouldn't be a dumb pick, lik so many on here have said. The browns ranked last in the leauge in passing, and thats not all the QB, we don't have a clear no.1 receiver. Mass has the potential to be, but coudl easily never turn into one. The reason Mass had such a great game against Cinci was because Edwards drew double teams the whole game. The next five games he had catches of 1,5,1,2,1. Thats not a coincidence. We need a no.1 guy and this guy has the potential to be great.

I'm sold. This kid can run, catch, and throw blocks. What more can you ask for? I'm leaning more towards selecting him with the 7th overall pick for two reasons: 1. We have a offensive minded President and a GM who selected Jeremy Maclin and DeSean Jackson in the last two drafts; 2. We desperately need a #1. Every great team has one.. Saints have Colston, Colts have Wayne. Nuff said. |

Smoke, stick to your first instincts......Dez Bryant is an elite talent - but this team playmakers on DEFENSE. The only picks we SHOULD be considering are Joe Haden or Rolando McClain.

Bryant would be nice to have in a Browns uni... but who the hell is going to get him the ball? I'm sticking with Hayden if Suh and Berry are gone.
I feel bad so I am sending the Denver Bronco's FO a case of Vaseline! Thank's for the trade!

where's the highligt of dez bryant clanking the ball off of his hands for a houston int TD to seal the houston upset over oklahoma state this year?
go ask the Lions how wasting high picks on wide receivers YEAR after YEAR works out. Bryant is an okay prospect, who played in a high octane offense. very similar to crabtree. he'll probably be a good pro. but a high 1st? nah. the saints got colston in the 7th round. thats what I'm talking about. GET MEATHEAD MANGINI OUT Still recovering from a Savagely inept 4 years. There once was a coordinator named Mo', who wouldn't let his quarterback thro'. he called play action pass on 4th and 19, agast!, and the fans ran his ass out da' show "This is a small, blue-collar town. Guys of my caliber aren't appealing to them." -Braylon Edwards |

the saints have had a great offense for a few years now. and didn't even make the playoffs until they improved their defense. which led the nfl in takeaways this season. the colts defense is one of the top in the league at points given up. including the playoofs they gave up over 17 points 5x. last year the steelers won the superbowl and their defense was ranked either #1 or #2. 2 years ago the giants won it. and they had the nfl's #1 defense. 3 years ago the colts won it. and while it was their offense that got them to the playoffs. it was their defense that got them to and won the superbowl. 4 years ago the steelers won it. and their defense was ranked in the top 3 in the nfl that year. 5 years ago the patriots won it and their defense was ranked in the top 5 of the league that year. 6 years ago the patriots also won it and again gahad a top 5 defensive unit in the nfl. i believe you have to have a solid offense to win the superbowl. but in most superbowls you have to have a top level defense to win the game. |
